Today's blog is for the ladies- the dreamers, the achievers, the rock stars! (Sorry guys, that's the truth, girls rock!)
Hope all of you had an amazing time on the Christmas Day!
It was an incredible evening for me! We had so much fun! My lovely daughter, her little friends and I danced our heart out to Christmas party songs, while my husband, who became potbellied Santa, distributed gifts and played an excellent host to all.
However, just as we were eating plum cakes while opening our Christmas gifts, it occurred to me that even New Year's Eve is coming in few days! Yayyiee!
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. This is true for leather products, which are known for being expensive and premium. And thus the birth of faux leather took place.
Faux leather, or fake leather, is a material that resembles leather, but is made from a synthetic framework. The birth of faux leather took place because it is cheaper than real leather. However, the quality is lower than the original as well.
How many of us clean our daily stuff regularly? (I don't see many hands up! LOL)
Agreed, it's a pain in the behind to clean your bags, shoes, closets, clothes, etc.
I know what you'll say – that you'll do it later. But you know what? Procrastination is not really a good habit. As they say, “Procrastination is like a credit card: it's a lot of fun until you get the bill. ”
Now come on! Who on earth would like to see your dirty, muddy shoes when you come to the office. Or see a shabby, unkempt version of you and your house? And don't get me started when those shoes leave a dirty imprint on the floor tiles of the house; you feel like turning into a green hulk behemoth and vent out your angry feelings towards the recipient.
Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There's going to be stress in life, but it's your choice whether you let it affect you or not. - Valerie Bertinelli
The choice is to be happy or sad. The choice is to react or not to react. Your choice to lead a stress-free, smooth and an easy life rests squarely on you.
I believe we all have the power to change ourselves. All it takes is a bit of intelligence and some common sense. We all have the power to change and uplift our lifestyle.
I see people worrying about nonsensical things and wasting all their energy over it. I observe people not really investing themselves in some of the important things in life – good food, quality lifestyle, disciplined health.
Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one ― Brad Paisley
2015, we are fast approaching to write on the first blank page of the workbook.
OMG! When did 2014 fly by? It seemed only yesterday that 2014 paved its way upon us. And what an eventful year has it been!
Notwithstanding the global events that occurred, personally as well, it has been a tumultuous year for me.
Having said that, every year throws a new form of challenge for all of us, which we obviously face with grit and a smile on our face. So now, 2015 awaits us, opening arms wide, accepting us with all our who we are, trying to give us all love.
Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable - William Pollard
Change is who we are right now. Change is what makes us grow every moment.
Hey guys, wassup!
Since yesterday I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic. I was reading a lot of stuff about the inception of leather – how it all came about, how leather bags were first made, etc.
So today, I want to go back in time and reminisce about the origin of leather handbags, the designs and how its evolutionary process took place.
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful - Norman Vincent Peale
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
It’s been a roller-coaster journey for me and now comes the holiday season of Christmas to enjoy the fruits of working all year long.
I love the spirit of Christmas – the bond of family traditions and joyous memories. It keeps the family together with affection.
Even though Christmas is traditional not an Indian festival, it’s celebrated with a lot of verve and enthusiasm all over the country.
Travel can be one of the most rewarding forms of introspection- Lawrence Durrell
Traveling is, for sure, therapeutic…
I was tired and exhausted of all the workload that I had accumulated while working on the Soulful Collection brand. I wanted to set myself free and also catch up some time with my long-lost friends.
Hence, I thought of taking a weekend road trip with my gang of girls (devoid of our nagging husbands and crabby kids, lol!). I asked my husband if he could take care of our 3-year-old daughter at home and he readily agreed (ah, my prince charming :)
Taking up from where I had left off, today’s blog is dedicated to Santosh Kumar. Santosh is one of the expert finishers in our facility. A finisher is someone who performs the last step in a manufacturing process. His job is to assemble various pieces and stitch everything up to make an amazing leather bag using high quality threads, brass fittings and zippers. And what a damn good finisher Santosh is!
A couple of weeks back, I had told you about one of the fans of this blog post, Altie058, who had asked me to explain the process of creating leather bags at Soulful Collection.
While I have already discussed about the basic glossary of things surrounding leather, let me now talk about how we create our leather bags through environment-friendly means.
Men have a fascinating connection with the wallet. A wallet or purse helps them organize and keep their daily essentials in place — identity cards, credit cards, cash etc. In fact, wallets may very well be truly signified a man’s best accessory!
That’s why having a particular wallet represents power, influence and attitude in your personality. You make a statement every time you pull out your wallet to pay. Not any purse will do, thank you!
The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe - Gustave Flaubert.
Having a journal and keeping it updated daily has a lot of benefits that you can make use of at all times. Apart from creating a record of your activities, writing in a journal also exudes a therapeutic liberation of sorts. Yes, I’m talking about old-school, pen & paper-based leather journals.
Keeping a journal can be a long-term record of all your thoughts and emotions, long after your hard drive data crashes or your computer dies. Let’s take a look at a few life hacks writing a journal has to offer.
